Directions: Proceed from Bendigo on the Calder Highway to Inglewood. From the centre of Inglewood, turn left into the Inglewood-Rheola Road. Continue on this road through Kingower. At the Rheola turn-off, contine straight on towards Melvilles Caves/Kooyoora State Park. At the Melvilles Caves entrance road, turn right and proceed for approximately 2 Kilomtres to the lower Melvilles Caves carpark/picnic area. This is the parking/assembly area for this event.

Directions: From Melbourne, Take the Calder to Bendigo. Turn right at the second set of lights after entering Kangaroo Flat (Taylor St), follow road around left to T intersection with Chapel St. turn right, go under the railway line and turn right into Allingham St. Follow Allingham St then Kangaroo Gully Rd, for 2.4km, watch for O signs. Turn right into the ‘pipeline’ track (dirt). Cross gully (dip), pass under transmission lines and continue, southwestish along ‘pipeline’ track keeping to left (high) side. Park as directed. From Bendigo, take High St to Kangaroo Flat, 1 block after Kangaroo Flat traffic lights turn left into View street. Continue to diagonal T intersection with Chapel St, Turn right, go under Railway line and follow instructions as above.

Directions: From Melbourne or Bendigo, travel to Inglewood. Continue on the Calder hway. At 7k turn left into Brenanah-Kurting Road. After 9.5 k you reach the Brenanah intersection. Turn left and look for signs.
For the hard courses we offer highly technical middle distance style orienteering within a square kilometre on the northern side of Mount Kooyoora. For the novice or moderate granite orienteer there is are easy, moderate and short hard courses. The three are a graded introduction to the art of navigating the rocks.
Course 1: 6.7k 150 metres climb, 22 controls in 2 loops, Very hard navigation. (Courses close at 3.30!)
Course 2: 4.4k 80 metres climb, 17 controls in 2 loops, Very hard navigation
Course 3: 2.5k 55 metres climb, 13 controls in two loops, hard navigation. The controls are close to the assembly area and are placed on larger granite features.
Course 4: 2.0k 30 metres climb, 17 controls in one loop. Moderate navigation. The course is designed to introduce the moderate orienteer to the various rock features. The granite control sites are very closely spaced.
Course 5: 1.7k 30 metres climb, 8 controls. Easy navigation along tracks and tapes through the bush.

Directions: From Bendigo, proceed out Mandurang road and turn right into Pentlands road. Proceed to T intersection with Kangaroo Gully Road. Start at this intersection. Mass start so don't be late. Punch cards used. Entrants wearing colours of an AFL Football teams colours get a Mar's Bar.
